Orugallu brings together Bhanu Prakash’s photographs of sculptures and architectural details at Warangal Fort.
Some photographs pause on a face or a carved line. Others step back to show fragments in the grass, columns against the sky, and the places around them.
The intention is simple: make room to look carefully, while being clear about the limits of what a photograph can tell us.
Reading
the labels.
Begin with what is visible.
Titles describe surviving forms, ornament and surroundings. A descriptive title is not a scholarly identification of a deity, date, material or original function.
The visual descriptions were prepared with AI assistance and may contain mistakes. Each photograph has an open community area where visitors can suggest a better description and provide evidence. Suggestions are displayed as unverified observations; they do not automatically replace the catalogue label.
Keep evidence close to a claim.
“Unidentified” means an object-specific identification has not been established. A future “Tentative” label will explain the evidence and its limits. “Documented” will require a source that supports the particular identification. The current object labels remain unidentified.
Count records with care.
The present catalogue contains 97 source photographs organised into 83 records: 66 provisional individual-object records, 9 ensembles and 8 site views. These are catalogue counts, not a confirmed total of distinct physical artefacts. Repeated views and a labelled detail crop do not create extra object records.
Six provisional object records retain a possible-match review state. No identification is inferred from a filename or from proximity in the photo sequence.

The display images preserve the available source composition and colour. Orientation is corrected before personal metadata is removed. Larger copies are available in the viewer; the source originals are not distributed by this site.
The camera metadata records the photographs on 30 November 2025. That is a recorded photography date, not an object date, and the camera clock has not been independently verified.
